Who this course suits

  • ECE, EEE and instrumentation graduates who want a first job in embedded software or firmware and need project experience that a degree does not give.
  • Final-year students who can commit to a full-time classroom schedule in Bangalore.
  • Engineers moving from IT or testing roles into embedded development, who want structured labs rather than self-study.

What you learn, module by module

  1. Foundations: digital electronics, hardware fundamentals, reading datasheets and schematics, and using an oscilloscope and multimeter.
  2. Processors: microprocessor architecture, then the ARM and RISC-V architectures: registers, memory organisation, interrupts and pipelining.
  3. Embedded C: pointers for register and memory access, volatile variables, bit-fields, structures and industry coding practice, followed by an Embedded C mini project.
  4. Peripheral protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCI Express and TCP/IP, with lab exercises and a protocols mini project.
  5. Embedded Linux: toolchains, boot sequence, file systems, processes, threads, inter-process communication, socket programming and system calls with device drivers, then a Linux mini project.
  6. IoT and ML: interfacing sensors, the IoT protocol stack, building an IoT application with the cloud, and an introduction to machine learning model deployment.
  7. Industry project, certification and internship: a full project from specification to system testing, a final assessment, interview preparation and a 3-month internship project.

Optional electives: Python for embedded systems, silicon validation, Linux driver development and automotive embedded systems. The complete syllabus is on the embedded systems course page.

How the course is taught in Bangalore

Around 70% of the time is hands-on: lab exercises for each concept, three mini projects, and an industry-style capstone. Students work with the same kinds of tools used in embedded teams: Keil MDK-ARM, GCC, Eclipse, VS Code, PlatformIO and Arduino for prototyping. Sample internship projects include IoT home automation, a vehicle reverse-parking assist, obstacle detection for blind assistance and a passenger safety system for cabs.

How to choose an embedded systems course in Bangalore

Ask every institute the same questions: how many hours you personally spend writing and debugging code on real boards; whether the course covers Embedded Linux and protocols or stops at microcontroller basics; whether there is a genuine project and internship phase; and what placement support actually includes. At ChipXpert, placement assistance means resume work, mock interviews and interview preparation. It is assistance, not a job guarantee.
