Is an online VLSI course as good as classroom training?

For tool work, yes, provided the tools are real. The limitation of online study is not the video, it is usually licence access — a course that gives you slides and a trial tool cannot teach signoff. Here the tools and licences are the same ones the classroom batches use.

Do I need a powerful laptop?

No. The EDA tools run on ChipXpert servers; your machine only renders the session in a browser.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes, a course completion certificate is issued by ChipXpert after the final project.

Can I switch from online to classroom later?
