Two Tracks, Six Options: Choose Your VLSI Internship in Hyderabad

Every VLSI internship at ChipXpert belongs to one of two tracks. The Front-End track covers how a chip’s logic is written and checked. The Back-End track covers how that logic becomes a physical layout ready for manufacturing. In each track, the 4-month option is the one most students choose.

Verification internship in Hyderabad

If you enjoy coding and debugging, the Front-End track is a natural fit. You start with Verilog and state machines. Which Duration Fits Your Year of Study?

• 2nd year: Start with a 2-month foundations programme, either RTL Design Associate or PD Foundations. It helps you find out which side of chip design you prefer before your core subjects get heavier.
• 3rd year / pre-final year: The 4-month Verification Professional or Implementation Engineer programme gives you enough depth to talk about real tool work in interviews.
• Final year and freshers: The 6-month UVM and SoC Expert or Sign-off Specialist programme is built for pre-final and final-year ECE/EEE students, and it also suits recent graduates looking for a VLSI internship for freshers in Hyderabad.

Offline at Madhapur or Live Online?

An internship is only useful if you touch real design data. Across the tracks, interns typically:

• Write and simulate RTL for blocks such as counters, FSMs and protocol interfaces
• Build SystemVerilog and UVM testbenches that check SPI and I2C behaviour
• Run synthesis and read timing reports to understand setup and hold paths
• Floorplan a block, place cells, build a clock tree and route the design
• On the 6-month PD path, clean up DRC/LVS violations and analyse IR drop

All of this runs on industry EDA tools opened in a browser, so your laptop doesn’t need a heavy setup.
